Definition
The node function determines the position of a node within the structure, which means how a node belongs to a particular subtree.
The node function is a required field and is automatically passed on to the subnodes when you create them.
Supported functions:
- A = Administrative task
- D = Development and Customizing Activity
- I = Installation task
- U = Upgrade task
- T = Technical information
- S = System specification
- C = Customizing task
- P = Application task
SAP uses the functions A, D, I, U, S and T.
In customer systems, you can also use the functions C and P.
