Definition
This indicator dictates whether the determination routine for the express delivery company data-fields should be carried out in a parallel task during delivery update. This is helpful if Remote Function Calls (RFCs) occur during the determination process, since RFCs can sometimes lock up the system. The system only waits a certain length of time for the parallel task to be processed. If this time limit is exceeded, the system makes an entry in the incompletion log.
Depending on the infrastructure of your system, parallel processing could accelerate processing.
Please note:
Parallel processing increases the number of processes in the system. If bottlenecks occur in the system, the parallel task may not get a chance at processing or may not be able to be started.
