Definition
Indicates the fare type specified in the rate agreement.
Fare types differ mainly regarding their registration in the global reservation system. Private and nego fares are known to the reservation system, local fares are not.
Negotiated Fare:
Referred to as "nego fares"; airfare rates that were agreed on with the airline; usually for all regions except USA; stored in the reservation system; specifically for the Amadeus reservation system.
Private Fare: Same as for nego fares, but created through another fare provider; usually US-specific
Local Fare:
For local fares, the relevant data is directly communicated between partners in the agreement (that is, your company and the provider). Tickets are issued independently of the reservation system, placing full responsibility with the relevant company-internal department.
