Definition

Every consumption sequence method in balance sheet valuation is defined by a record containing certain parameters that are described in the system as a 'LIFO/FIFO Method'.

You can define LIFO/FIFO methods in Customizing and from numerous program initial screens. The name of a LIFO/FIFO method can be up to six characters long and is freely definable.

You can freely assign some of the parameters of a LIFO/FIFO method and other parameters are defined in certain combinations. The predefined part of the parameters is described as the 'sample'.

The freely selectable parameters are:
- Analysis of aggregated monthly receipts or individual receipts
- Time-based definition of the stock to be valuated
