Documentation
Use
When you set this indicator, the system distributes the LIFO/FIFO price proportionally across the material valuation segments. This occurs when the data is updated.
Definition
LIFO or FIFO valuations often result in a price that is calculated on a higher level than the material valuation segment. During the price update, this indicator determines whether the price is adopted at a flat rate into the valuation segments, or if it is distributed proportionally.
Example
A FIFO valuation is carried out at company code level for materials valuated seperately. A FIFO price of 4,00 EUR is calculated for one material. This would lead to a devaluation of 20% in the cumulative stock value. When you set this indicator, the system updates every valuation segment for the material with a price that represents a devaluation of the stock value by 20%.
