Documentation
Use
When you set this indicator, the system updates the LIFO/FIFO price in each material valuation segment at a flat rate.
Definition
LIFO and FIFO valuations often result in a price that was calculated on a higher level than the material valuation segment. During the price update, this indicator determines whether the price is adopted at a flat-rate into each valuation segment, or whether it is distributed proportionally.
Example
You perform a FIFO valuation at company code level for materials valuated seperately. A FIFO price of 4,00 EUR is calculated for one material. This would lead to a devaluation of 20% in the cumulative stock value. When you set this indicator, the system updates each valuation segment of the material with a flat-rate price of 4,00 EUR, regardless of whether this causes an upward revaluation or a devaluation in each valuation segment.
