Definition

Specifies the movement type that is used for an immediate goods movement to free available stock.

Use

When a goods receipt is posted to a returns order, the receiving stock type is defined by a standard movement type in the schedule line category. The standard movement type used by all follow-up activities moves returned material to blocked stock. However, a different stock type is required for the follow-up activity Immediately Move to Free Available Stock.

Dependencies

Example

A customer bought too much of a particular product and comes to the counter to return the surplus quantity. The returned goods are still in their original packaging and can put back on the shelf for immediate resale.
