Definition
Specifies the movement type that the system uses to post the goods movement from the returns stock to the repair order stock in Advanced Returns Management. The movement type considers the stock type of the returns stock.
Use
When you select the logistical follow-up activity In-house Repair in the Material Inspection in Warehouse transaction, the system automatically posts a goods movement from the returns stock to the repair order stock and uses the movement type specified here. The stock type does not change in this goods movement posting.
Dependencies
The stock type for the returns stock is defined by the movement type for the goods receipt posting that you specify for the schedule line category.
Example
Returned goods are usually posted to blocked stock. You therefore specify movement type 657 in the Movement Type field of the schedule line category. For the follow-up activity In-house Repair, the goods are to be posted to the repair order stock. You therefore specify movement type 325 as the Movement Type for Goods Movement into Repair Order Stock. The stock type remains blocked stock.
