Definition

Specifies the importance of the individual MRP element categories.

Use

The system uses the prioritization (MRP element category importance) to influence the overall and sub-daily sorting of demand elements:

• In the uncovered demand elements list, this prioritization together with the sales demand importance is used as the overall sorting criteria for the sales demands for the whole evaluation horizon and is used, for example, to determine the delivery priority.
• In all other supply and demand matching evaluations, this prioritization is only used to sort demand elements on a sub-daily basis for displaying purposes.

Dependencies

Example

If you enter 01 as the category importance, this MRP element category receives the highest priority. If you enter 02 as the category importance, it receives the next highest priority, and so on up to a category importance of 99.

Note that you can assign the same category importance to several MRP element categories.
