Definition
Controls the planning of MRP elements that are assigned to projects in the Project System and in which there are storage location MRP areas.
Use
If this indicator is not set, MRP elements assigned to projects always belong to the plant MRP area, even if there are receipts or issues in storage locations that are in storage location MRP areas.
You can set this indicator if you want such MRP elements to belong to the MRP areas that correspond to their storage locations.
Dependencies
This function controls the transactions for displaying the following: MRP (such as transaction MD04), planning (such as MD03), the availability overview (such as CO09), and the availability check (such as for a sales order).
Example
You have an MRP area 'A', that comprises storage location 'A'. You created project '1'.
You have various documents that are assigned to this project, for which issues and receipts take place in storage location 'A'.
If you do not set this indicator, you only see these elements in MD04 if you choose the plant MRP area. You do not see these elements if you choose MRP area 'A'.
If you set the indicator, you only see the elements if you choose MRP area 'A', and not if you choose the plant MRP area.
This is also the case for all other display transactions. The same applies to the functions for requirements planning, the material availability check, and the material availability overview.
