Documentation
Definition
A unique indicator for a country that is used in the Human Resources components of the R/3 System.
Use
In the R/3 System, the country grouping is used instead of the country indicator because the country indicator is not always unique (for example, more than one license plate number can exist in one country).
All of the country groupings that exist in the system are stored in table T500L (Personnel Country Grouping).
Example
Country grouping 10 = USA.
Country grouping 22 = Japan.

HR country grouping
Definition
The HR country grouping field has been added to certain HR tables.
The values you enter in this field are checked against table T500L.
Supplementary Documentation - MOLGA 0004
Use
A personnel country grouping is assigned to the trip provision variant used in Travel Management.
This has the following effects:
- The wage types used in trip accounting refer to the country grouping assigned at this point.
- The statutory regulations of the country grouping assigned at this point apply to all of the trips in this trip provision variant.
Examples
Country grouping
01 (Germany) Accounting according to German employment tax regulations
03 (Austria) Accounting according to the Austrian collective agreement
09 (Denmark) Accounting according to Danish law
Supplementary Documentation - MOLGA 0005
Use
The system compares the country grouping in this field with the country grouping of the work file to be processed. If they do not match, the system does not process the work file.
If you start the Transfer to FI/CO report (RPCIPO00) without first maintaining the table of automatic account assignments (transactions HRF, HRC, HRD, and HRK), the symbolic account text is printed in the paper document instead of the G/L account text. The system uses the country grouping to determine the symbolic account texts.

Use
The system compares the country grouping entered in this parameter with the country grouping of the work file to be processed. If they do not match, the system does not process the work file.
The system also determines the texts of the used symbolic accounts in conjunction with the country grouping. They are then printed in the paper document.
