Definition

Field where you can enter the bar code for a material number on the screen. You can define in Customizing which bar code norm will be used for warehouse numbers. The system then determines the actual material numbers using this bar code norm.

The material number can even be determined from a combined bar code made up of multiple fields.

You can also make settings in Customizing that define whether the SAP material number (an alternative material number in the material master) or an EAN number can be entered.
