Documentation
Definition
Document number for the order-specific WIP quantity document
Use
The document is created for manufacturing orders, during WIP determination in Cost Object Controlling, if the material ledger add-on "WIP Revaluation' has been activated. The document contains the WIP for components and activities required for the production of the order's header material.
The WIP quantity from the document is used to calculate price differences during the period-end closing activities in the material ledger, which then allow the inventories and work in process to be valuated at actual costs.
Dependencies
WIP Revaluation for materials must be activated in the production plant for the order.
In order for a component, which is to be seen as WIP, to be included in the document the function WIP Revaluation must also be activated for materials in the issuing plant.
In order for an activity, which is to be seen as WIP, to be included in the document the function WIP Revaluation must be activated for activities in the production plant.
