Definition

The data scope structure defines which of the following

cost component split information is determined in the valuation area:

  • Main cost component split
  • Auxiliary cost component split

The data scope structure also defines whether a differentiation is made between the following:

  • Aggregate level/lower level
  • Preliminary/single-level/multilevel

The following is also defined:

  • Whether cost component split information is also stored for each valuation-relevant posting in the material ledger documents (useful, for example, in test systems)
  • Whether cost component splits are calculated in all material ledger currencies.
