Documentation
Definition
Determines whether you can post partial quantities for outward postings (for example, goods issues) for single-unit batches.
If you do not set the indicator, only the entire quantity of the single-unit batch can be withdrawn (complete withdrawal).
If you do set the indicator, the system adjusts the conversion factor between the base unit of measure and the piece unit of measure when you post a partial quantity for an outward posting.
Example
Single-unit batches are allowed for material A. You set the indicator. The base unit of measure for material A is meter; the piece unit of measure is piece.
Conversion factor of batch C1 before GI: 1 pc = 250 meters
You post a goods issue for 100 meters of batch C1.
Conversion factor for batch C1 after GI: 1 pc = 150 meters
Exceptions
- The conversion factor is not adjusted when postings are made in piece units of measure.
- The conversion factor is not adjusted when receipts are posted (goods receipt), except for document cancellations for partial goods issues.
