Documentation
Use
If there are follow-on documents in PP, CO, or MM, it is a good idea to reconcile changes in sales order items with production or procurement. To this end, we recommend that you enter changes first in a changeable version of the sales order item.
You can use the message type to cause the system to react in the following ways:
- No check (message type ' ')
No checks take place. Use this setting if you need to reduce the system load.
- Check, Log if required (message type 'I')
If the system generates a version, the results of the check appear in the log with the log with message type #I'
- Check, dialog for decision, log if required (message type 'W')
A system message appears in a dialog box. You can decide whether a version should be created.
- Check, automatic version, log if required/> (message type 'E')
The system automatically creates a version.
The settings made take effect only in the Change Order function. The checks are only made for items resulting from individual customer requirements. The system only reacts (with a dialog box or automatic versioning) if item data that is transferred between item and version during versioning is changed (examples: quantity or configuration).
