Definition

This indicator determines for each purchasing document type whether reference characteristics should be taken into account in Purchasing.

A prerequisite is that you edit the configuration for a purchasing item. Reference characteristics must also exist in selected fields of sales documents tables in the respective class.

Activating this indicator enables the exchange of data between the purchasing document and configuration. In the configuration, the system can read purchasing data and change characteristic values directly or via object dependencies. Changed characteristic values in turn can change the data in the purchasing item.
