Documentation
Definition
Defines the procedure used to find URLs.
Use
You can choose from the following procedures to construct the URL:
- Generic
The system constructs the URL from the server path, the object ID (for example, material number), and the file type. In the case of image series, it adds a continuous index and, if necessary, a separator to the object ID.
- Read from Table
The system determines the URL using the master data tables in the image data display. You can fill the tables using, for example, a customer-specific migration program. There is no migration tool in the standard system.
- Read from Table First, then Generically
The system determines the URL in a combination of the above-mentioned procedures. A URL in the master data tables of the image data display takes priority over the generic determination.
- Read from Table First, then Generically: Save Changes
This procedure is aligned with the previous procedure. You can also assign an image file to the URL in an object-specific manner by data import. The system saves this URL in the master data tables of the image data display. The URL is available for the next image data display.
Dependencies
Store the image files on a server that is accessible to all users. Image files that are saved locally on PCs can only be accessed by a particular PC user.
