Definition

Name of the storage location at which materials are stored. There can be one or more storage locations within a plant.

Use

You can enter either the number of the storage location or parts of the description. The system then finds the relevant storage location or suggests several for you to choose from.

Example

You have created the following storage locations:

Storage location    Description

0001    Finished goods

0002    Semifinished products

0003    Raw materials

0004    MRO stores

If you enter finished, the system will suggest the storage locations "Finished goods" and "Semifinished products" for you to choose from.

Dependencies

For materials with reference to a master record, the storage location must be defined in the material master record.
