Definition
A cockpit is defined in the Internet Communication Framework (ICF) as a child node of the NWBC node.
If a user accesses the SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) using a cockpit, only the roles that belong to this cockpit are displayed. The cockpit name that you specify here must match the corresponding name in the ICF service tree (transaction SICF). In this way, you specify a fixed assignment from the cockpit to the role. By specifying a cockpit, you can therefore define a filter across all roles, which means that only the roles that are defined as belonging to the cockpit are displayed.
If you access the NWBC without a cockpit, the role that you specified here is still visible, unless you checked the Cockpit Exclusive option.
Use
You should normally leave this field empty.
Only specify a cockpit here in special cases. If you enter a name here, you can also use the Cockpit Exclusive indicator, if required.
