Definition

When a synchronization run is carried out, the Processing Type field distinguishes between an initial synchronization (initial load) and a delta synchronization.

Use

Unlike an initial synchronization, a delta synchronization synchronizes in the background the master data that has changed. Delta synchronizations can be carried out between the business partner and customer synchronization objects, for example.

If an error occurs during synchronization, the system stores it as a postprocessing office order (PPO order) and then assigns the corresponding processing type to this order. The system assigns the value 01 as the processing type for initial synchronizations and 02 as the processing type for delta synchronizations.
