Definition
Differentiates an identifier of a business object from other identifiers of the same business object. For example, an object could have a Universal Unique Identifier that is used internally and an understandable identifier that is displayed on user interfaces. The corresponding Global Data Type (GDT) for the Object Identifier Type is the Identifier Defining Scheme Code.
Use
You can enhance the existing values of object identifier types using the customer namespaces X*, Y*, and Z*.
Dependencies
Every Object Identifier Type must be assigned to a business object. Every business object is defined by its Object Type.
