Documentation
Definition
Instructs the Master Data Governance (MDG) hub to update key mapping information about a business object type in a target system on receipt of an intermediate document (iDOC) confirming that data replication was successful in the target system. The iDOC confirmation is part of the ALE (Application Link Enabling) audit process. This process involves the MDG hub system receiving periodic updates in iDOC format from target systems about the progress of data replication.
Use
You can apply this setting to a combination of business system and business object type if the communication channel is Replication via iDoc.
We recommend you apply this setting if keys are not harmonized between the MDG hub and target systems.
Dependencies
You can only apply this setting to a business object type within a business system, if the following conditions are fulfilled:
- Key mapping is enabled for the business object type
- You have specified the correct Process Code for inbound ALE audit within a partner profile. For more information, see Specification of Process Code for Inbound ALE Audit Within a Partner Profile
- BAdI: Inbound Processing of ALE Audit Messages is implemented for the business object type.
- If you apply this setting to a business system that acts as a target system for a replication model, you can only activate the replication model if the relevant outbound implementation supports the update of key mapping.
To indicate that an outbound implementation supports the update of key mapping, proceed as follows:
- Open Customizing for Data Replication under Define Technical Settings -> Enhance Default Settings for Outbound Implementations -> Define Outbound Implementations.
- Select the Support Update of Key Mapping checkbox.
