Key figure that shows the margin between the sales at cost and at retail
Margin = 100 * (retail - cost) / retail
In the Retail Information System, the margin is expressed in two ways:
- Margin with tax (the retail price with tax is used in this calculation)
- Margin without tax (the retail price without tax is used in this calculation)
Dependencies
This key figure is based on the balanced sales, i.e. the return of goods to the POS or credit memos from Sales reduce this key figure.
Internal sales (e.g. when a DC delivers goods to a plant) are not taken into account.
