Documentation
Definition
If a Multi Queue Procedure is being used, the document data is transferred into different extraction queues during the delta extraction. These are processed with parallel processes at the start of the collective update and then transferred to the BW delta queues.
Setting the maximum number of parallel processes determines the maximum number of work processes that are allowed to be used in parallel to the processing of an application's extraction queues. For example, 10 extraction queues containing data are ready to be processed for an application, and the maximum number of parallel processes has been limited to 4. In this case, only 4 queues can be processed at any one time. The next queues are automatically started when one of the first queues have been successfully processed.
The purpose of this parameter is to prevent a system overload when processing extraction queues with a multi queue procedure.
