Documentation
Definition
The usage type categorizes the function that is realized by the Customizing object. This helps to differentiate Customizing objects that belong to a technical environment (such as system parameters, control of technical program process flow) from business Customizing settings (such as global parameters and business standards).
Use
To see the different usage types, choose F4. Assign the appropriate usage type to your object.
Dependencies
Remember that two Customizing objects that point to the same document must both assign the same usage type. As described above, the usage type is a category that is assigned to the document, and which defines the function type. This assumes that the function is realized jointly by multiple Customizing objects, and is also described jointly by the document.
