Definition
An action type groups personnel actions according to business aspects.
In HR, the term personnel action has different meanings:
- Personnel actions transaction
Complex activities (for example hiring of personnel) are executed using an personnel action lead by the system. An action is a series of infotypes infogroup which are set in the system and processed consecutively.
- Personnel action infotype (0000)
When you execute a personnel action, a new Action record (0000) is created for the specified personnel number. The most important information in this infotype is the employee status:
- active
- inactive
- retired
- left the company
In addition, the customizing profile key of the executed personnel action and a reason for personnel action are stored in this infotype.
- Action key
The personnel action is identified through the personnel action key which is stored in the infotype Personnel Action. This key is assigned status indicators and an infogroup when the system is customized.

Use
Here you can enter the actions that are not to be chosen. If you change the indicator INCL/EXCL in the selection option to INCL for "Inclusive", you receive all persons for whom an action you specified was carried out.

Use
Action key for "Agreed transfer and promotion"
Procedure
Enter your action key here for the action "Agreed transfer and promotion".
The program checks whether an action "Transfer and promotion" already exists for the respective person at the beginning of the considered month. If yes, the transfer and promotion are not carried out again for that month.
Dependencies
The entered value is compared against table 529A. A valid action key must be specified.

Use
Action key for "Pay Scale Reclassification"
Procedure
Enter the key for the "Pay Scale Reclassification" action
The program checks whether a "Reclassification" action already exists for the month in question. If it does, reclassification does not take place.
Dependencies
The entry is validated against table T529A. The action key must be valid.
