Type of action or action key
In HR, the term 'action' has different meanings:
1. The 'Actions' transaction
Complex activities such as the hiring or transfer
of personnel are executed using an action. An action is
a series of infotypes (infogroup) which are set in
the system and processed consecutively.
2. 'Personnel Actions' (infotype 0000)
When you execute an action, a new 'Actions' record (0000) is
created for the specified personnel number.
The most important information in this infotype is the employee
status; this can be active, inactive, retired or left company.
This infotype also stores the action key and the reason for the
action.
3. Action key
The key uniquely identifies an action.
This key is assigned status indicators and an infogroup
in T529A.
