Definition
Determines the amount of time before the outbound document date and time reference for cross-dock planning that the default latest release time for outbound documents will occur.
Use
In the case of planned cross-docking, if the outbound document is released prior to the creation of a TO for the inbound document, the system delays creation of picking TOs (from storage to the goods issue area) for the outbound document until the latest release time. Once this time arrives, the system creates picking TOs from storage to fulfill the outbound document items to the extent that they have not been fulfilled by goods to be cross-docked:
- From the goods receipt area (one-step cross-docking)
- From the cross-docking storage type (two-step cross-docking)
Example
You enter 3 in this field, HRS in the UoM field and Delivery picking date & time in the Time Ref. field. If an outbound delivery does not belong to a group with a predefined latest release time, its latest release time will occur 3 hours before the delivery's picking date and time.
