Definition
Specifies how to use electronic confirmation of participation in the Learning Portal.
Use
- The value blank means that no electronic confirmation of participation is used in the Learning Portal.
- The value 1 means that participation in a course must be confirmed on completion of the course in the Learning Portal. The following applies:
- Participation in a time-independent course (such as a WBT) is confirmed when the learner sets the course to 'completed'.
- Participation in a time-dependent course (such as classroom training) can be confirmed on or after the last day of the course. The learner sets the course to 'completed' in the Learning Portal on the details screen of the participation booking.
- The value 2 is similar to the value 1 but in addition, a digital signature is required for the confirmation. This is done when the learner enters a password for the Learning Portal when setting the course to 'completed'. If the password entered is authenticated, a digital signature is generated and participation successfully confirmed or completed.
Note
The value in the Electronic Confirmation of Participation infotype applies for each course type. It overrides all entries for the relevant course type that were made in the Switch On Electronic Confirmation of Participation activity in Customizing for the Learning Portal.
The value that you enter in the Switch On Electronic Confirmation of Participation activity, however, is valid for all course types.
