Definition

A LRU write occurs as a result of prompting by the CPU virtual processor. When the modified LRU queues reach the LRU_MAX_DIRTY threshold a LRU write is initiated. This type of write is much more efficient than a foreground write and, overall, not as efficient as a chunk write.
