Documentation
Definition
If this checkbox has been selected for a valid rule, the rule itself is not used for the current object instance; instead the corresponding, valid rules of the related, bequeathing object instances are applied.
Rules in an audit area can inherit rules from all audit areas of the bequeathing ILM objects.
Use
Dependencies
The "Inherit Rule" column is only available if rule inheritance is explicitly allowed for this ILM object.
Example
Inheriting rules makes sense for change documents pertaining to an ILM object for which no specific rules can be defined. Instead, in the bequeathing process, the rules of the related, superordinate ILM object, for which the change documents were updated, are used.
