Documentation
Definition
Specification in the ILM rule. The time reference refers to an event in the document's history for which the start of retention is crucial, for example, creation of the document.
In rule evaluation, the system determines the specific reference date (in this example, the creation date) based on the time reference. The start date of the period to be calculated is the same as the reference date plus an explicit time offset optionally included in the rule (for example, the end of the year). If no explicit time offset is specified in the rule, the start date is the same as the reference date.
