Documentation
Definition
Used to group rules within a policy category with a view to their fields of application.
Use
You can use the audit area to classify ILM object rules for different purposes. This means you can separate the responsibilities by setting up different departments, such as a tax department and a legal department.
You can then transfer the maintenance authorization for the corresponding rules to the tax department or the department responsible for warranty processing. The audit areas in a system are configurable. Using transaction ILMARA, you can create new audit areas in addition to the ones provided by SAP.
Dependencies
Example
Examples of audit areas include Tax Law (TAX) and Product Liability (PRODLIABIL).
