Definition
Controls how the value of the new layer is formed from the LIFO receipts for the posting period.
Use
Only the LIFO receipts for part of the posting period are taken into account in this calculation. Beginning with the first period, the LIFO receipts are totalled until the layer quantity is reached. Only the receipts that form this total are included in the value calculation.
The layer value is calculated as follows:
Layer value = layer quantity * total receipt values/total receipt quantities
