Use
This data field is required for the Public Sector in Germany. A distinction is made according to the special rule in rate BAT West. In the case of all other rates, including rate BAT East, enter the special rule 00.
For employees in rate BAT West, specify in this field whether the previous or new rule governing continued pay and sick pay supplement periods is to be used. The following applies:
- Special rule 00
The periods according to § 71 BAT (previous rule until 06/30/2004) apply to employees. These periods are valid for BAT employees who were hired up to this date and have not exercised their entitlement to vote.
- Special rule 01
The periods according to § 37 BAT (new rule as of 07/01/1994) apply to employees. These periods are valid for all BAT employees hired after 07/01/1994. These periods are also valid for BAT employees who were hired before this date and have exercised their right to vote.
