Definition
The subsequent delivery split allows you to process deliveries that are in several shipments and whose item quantities are packed more than once in different shipments.
If delivery quantities are packed more than once in the in the highest-level handling units (HUs that are not packed in other HUs) of different shipments, the subsequent delivery split must adhere to the following rules:
- All quantities that were specified for one delivery via shipment-relevant handling units when the function was called up must originate from the same shipment.
- If a quantity that is not packed is split, this quantity must also appear as not packed in all of the shipments in which the delivery is found.
If the split was called up exclusively with handling units and there are shipments in the system but no cases of multiple packing (shipping unit chains), deactivate the HU chain. Otherwise, the system will read larger quantities of packing data from the database and carry out complicated calculations.
Example
A delivery is packed in two shipments. The quantity of one item is in the first shipment in a "truck" handling unit and in the second shipment in a "ship" handling unit. If the HU chain function is deactivated, the quantity checks in the delivery split would report that the quantities of the individual items are too large. It is also possible that one handling unit might have more than one highest-level handling unit, in which case it could not be split.
