Documentation
Definition
The upload method determines in which form the data is to be imported from an external file into the FI-LC System. It includes information concerning the data fields contained in the file, the column format and number format:
The file can be configured flexibly in regards to the data fields used. If the first record of the file is to contain information pertaining to the rest of the file, these related fields can be entered in the method as well as the fields that appear in the remaining data records. Furthermore, you can specify fields that do not appear in the file, but instead are entered on the request screen.
You can choose between a fixed or a variable column width. If fixed, the lengths of the fields being read must explicitly specified; if variable, you only need to give a separator charactor (space, semi-colon, tab, etc.).
In regards to the number format, you can select either a period or a comma as the digit separater. The sign can be specified either as the last character in the digit string, or in a separate field.
