Definition

The column width can either be variable or fixed.

1. Variable column width
   
   You must enter a field separator which separates the fields in the fields in the file to be imported.
2. Fixed column width
   
   The fields have a fixed width in the file to be imported. You need to specify this width for each header line and data line in the file. The system proposes standard widths for the fields.
