Definition
Key used to manage access authorizations for layout areas in the product catalog.
Use
Enter an authorization group if not all users are to be given unrestricted access to the layout area.
When a particular activity is executed (e.g. display or change), the system then checks whether the user has authorization for the authorization object "Maintain product catalog layout area" (W_PCAT_LAY) If the "Authorization group" field is blank, the system does not carry out an authorization check.
