Definition

You use this indicator to specify that the requirements date of the components is not determined automatically from the activity. Components with a manually entered requirements date are not considered when you schedule the network; the requirements date is independent of the dates in the activity.

If you manually overwrite the requirements date that has been determined automatically, this indicator is automatically set when you press ENTER.

If the indicator is not set, the requirements date is derived automatically from the activity. The date depends on the following settings:

• The setting in Customizing for Project Planning, activity Dates -> Scheduling of Networks -> Specify Scheduling Parameters, determines whether the earliest or latest date is used.
• The Scheduling Aligned with Activity Finish Date indicator on the component detail screen determines whether the start or finish date of the activity is used.
