Definition

Indicator defining whether the period of collection should be specified
with the posting.

Use

This indicator controls whether a period of collection, i.e. a lower limit and an upper limit of a period, should be specified with a posting.

Examples

Collection of an insurance revenue posting is always related to a period. This period can be transferred to the subledger through the period of collection.

In contrast to revenue postings, benefits postings are usually one-time amounts that are not related to a period. No period should be stated for such postings.
