Definition

Date on which a sufficient quantity of the item must be available, so that picking can begin. This date applies only to deliveries from projects and is displayed here in calendar weeks.

Use

The system uses the material availability date to generate automatic production requests and purchase requisitions. The system determines the material availability date by calculating backwards from the requested delivery date. When it does this, it takes into account how much time is required for the activities related to the delivery such as picking, packing, loading, and transporting.

Procedure

The system proposes a material availabilty date. You can manually change the date in the sales documents.

Dependencies

The picking date is identical to the material availability date.
