Definition

Instructs the system to post the appropriate ordering costs when backflushing. Here, ordering costs can either be setup costs or costs for materials independent of lots.

Use

In repetitive manufacturing, setup costs and fixed quantities do not usually occur for every production lot but at the start of a new production series. You can use this indicator to control the posting of ordering costs.

Dependencies

To determine the ordering costs, the system uses the lot-size-independent component quantities maintained in the BOM and the setup costs defined in the routing. You have to reselect this indicator each time you want to post the ordering costs along with the backflush.
