Definition
Profile with parameters.
The planner profile, together with the planning area in Overhead Cost Controlling, or the operating concern and type of profitability calculations in Profitability Analysis, determines the planning layout used in planning.
The initial planning screen appears based on the first planning layout defined for a planning area. You can choose "Goto -> Next layout" to navigate to further options. For more information, see Profile Items.
The planner profile can contain default values for the variables in the planning layout (preparameterization). You determine in the planner profile whether the defaults can be overwritten or not.
This makes it possible to assign planner profiles to different user groups and thus control what objects they are allowed to plan (for example, given cost center and cost element groups).
You can also assign planner profiles to selected authorization groups.
