Definition
Determines which price tables the system uses to access the overhead rates.
- In which order the system reads the price tables
- Which field contents the system moves back as criteria for reading the table.
Standard settings
Predefined dependencies are available for your use. If you require additional differentiations, you can define your own dependencies as access sequences.
Example for accrual calculation
You wish to calculate accrual costs for the workers' compensation association. You want to do this on all cost centers to which direct labor costs were posted (production cost centers).
To do this, use the "Controlling area / cost center" dependency. This dependency allows you to specify explicit overhead rates for individual cost centers as well as a flat-rate overhead rate for the controlling area.
Create explicit overhead percentage rates for cost centers with direct labor costs. For the controlling area, create a flat-rate overhead rate.
During accrual calculation, the system initially searches for explicit overhead rates for each cost center. If it cannot locate these, it moves back the overhead rate entered for the controlling area. It uses this amount for the accrual calculation.
