Definition

Search field for the name of the payer

Use

You can search for the name or name components of the payer. Note the following:

Several name components

If you enter several name components, the system finds all the names that contain the components named in the order specified.

Example

Using the entry 'Peter von Lenk', the following names are also found:

  • Peter von Lenking
  • Peter von der Lenk

Upper and lower case

The name of the payer is saved in the payment lot with upper and lower case letters. However, generally you do not have to use the correct form. For each name or name component specified, the system always searches using the following criteria:

  • Form as specified
  • All upper case
  • All lower case
  • First letter upper case, rest lower case

Example

Therefore, if you use 'peter von lenk', the system also finds 'Peter von Lenk'. If the name contains an upper case letter in the middle however, you have to enter the correct form (for example, McDonald or deWinter).

Generic Searches

If you are not sure of the form, you can use placeholders for parts of the name, for example, '*'.

Example

With 'peter de*ker' you will find 'Peter Decker' and 'Peter Dekker'. 'heinz m*ller' you will find 'Heinz Müller' and 'Heinz Mueller'.
