Definition
In the 'Minimum Balance' field you can enter an amount, which must be reached for account clearing. This field can be used either to determine the credit limit or specify a (positive) base amount, which must be reached for account clearing.
If the amount reflects the credit limit, the amount is entered with a negative sign.
If the field is empty, it is not evaluated. If an account is managed on a credit basis then enter the smallest possible negative amount, e.g. minus one cent.
If the predefined amount is not reached during account clearing, the account is highlighted and an warning is issued.
If a minimum amount is specified for the target account, the planning amount including the minimum balance is displayed, provided that both amounts in the scaled output are different and the difference is larger than the smallest possible amount (e.g.one cent).
If a minimum amount for payment advice notices is specified on the selection screen during account clearing in order to prevent the creation of payment advice notices for small amounts, then this can lead to failure to reach minimum balances, without a warning being issued for it.
All the definitions in Customizing (view V_T018C) are taken into account when deciding whether a warning is to be issued or not.
