Documentation
Definition
Traffic light symbol set by the system to highlight objects that meet certain criteria (exceptions).
Dependencies
Whether a traffic light is set by the system and which color is set depends on the rule that was selected in exception reporting.
For summarization hierarchies and order hierarchies the rule is determined when you execute the summarization run. For other hierarchies such as a costed multilevel BOM a rule can be selected in the hierarchy display under the menu option "Settings".
In some hierarchies red and yellow lights are passed upwards in the hierarchy (order hierarchies and sales order hierarchies). For example if the condition specified in the rule is met for an object in the hierarchy the same traffic light color is set in the higher-level hierarchy nodes.
Traffic lights in summarization hierarchies do not refer to the displayed values but to the entire summarized time period.
Prerequisites
You must first create the exception rules in Customizing under Define Exception Rules.
