Definition
The system creates an additional status-dependent valuation method for the system status specified here. The effect of this valuation method in results analysis is that inventories are canceled when the object being processed by results analysis reaches the specified status.
Use
In Simplified Customizing, two status-dependent valuation methods are first created for each status-independent valuation method (for the controlling area, results analysis version, and results analysis key)
- A valuation method is always created for the status REL and defines the type of results analysis. The status REL is always entered in the field Results analysis with status.
- A further valuation method specifies which status results in cancellation of the inventories and reserves. For this you must make an entry in the field Cancel inventory/reserves with status. The system creates a further status-dependent valuation method for the status entered here.
- In an additional valuation method you can specify which status results in cancellation of the reserves. In sales-order-related production, for example, it may be appropriate to cancel all inventories with the status FNBL (final billing) but only cancel the reserves for imminent losses when the sales order item has the status TECO (technically completed). Because this valuation method is not absolutely required, entry of the corresponding status is optional. You can use the F4 help function to select one of the currently supported statuses. You make the entry in the field Cancel inventory w/status. The system then creates an additional status-dependent valuation method for the status entered here.
For some valuation methods only two statuses can be set (usually REL for the creation of reserves and inventory values, and TECO for the cancellation of reserves and inventories). If you enter an additional status for such a valuation method here, it will be ignored by the system.
Dependencies
- Status REL for sales order item
This status is set automatically when a sales order item is entered for sales-order-related production.
- Status REL for WBS element
For a WBS element you must set the status manually by releasing the WBS element.
- Status REL for internal order
You must set this status manually. It corresponds to the status "released" and "final billing" with sales order items.
- Status REL for manufacturing order
You set this status in the menu of Production Control.
The system derives the statuses FNBL and DLV (delivered) from the document flow. You can also set these statuses manually or with a report program. The status FNBL is relevant to sales order items and WBS elements. The status DLV is relevant to sales order items, internal orders, and manufacturing orders.
You can set the status TECO (technically completed) manually or with a report program. You set the status TECO after you have entered the last actual posting for an object. The status TECO can be relevant to sales order items, WBS elements, internal orders, and manufacturing orders.
For information on the meaning of statuses in results analysis, refer to the documentation Product Cost by Sales Order.
You can use the report program SAPKKA12 to set the status.
You can define user statuses. You must access the Expert Mode to do this.
Access the Expert Mode only when it is absolutely necessary.
Further status-dependent parameters in the Expert Mode:
- Final results analysis
If this indicator is set, all inventories and reserves are set to zero and the cost of sales is set equal to the actual costs.
- No valuation
If this indicator is set, no results analysis can be performed on the objects that have this status.
Examples
Suppose you want to create results analysis data (inventories and reserves) for a sales order item. This results analysis data is created as soon as the sales order item has the status REL and costs and/or revenues have been assigned to the sales order item. For this purpose the status REL is specified in the field Results analysis with status.
If you want to cancel all inventory values as soon as the sales order item has the status FNBL, you enter the status FNBL in the field Cancel inventory w/status.
If you want to cancel all reserves when the sales order item has the status TECO, you enter the status TECO in the field Cancel inventory/reserves with status.
If you want to cancel the inventory and reserves earlier at the status FNBL, you enter the status FNBL in the field Cancel inventory/reserves with status.
